Patrizia's rambling property with pool, on which she has for several years now been welcoming guests at her holiday accommodations, lies not far from Syracuse on Isola di Siracusa.

The accommodations are very conveniently located and therefore perfect for vacationers who wish to discover both the culture and the landscape of the island.

As Patrizia is never short of remarkable ideas, she has turned three former B&B rooms into Casa Isola Verde, a cozy holiday apartment for four persons with spacious outdoor area.   

To get to the apartment, you have to climb a few steps and cross the plot of garden it comes with and which is shaded by a lot of greenery.

The apartment is appealing and displays a love for detail. With hand-painted, Sicilian-style furniture Patirzia has created a unique atmosphere. 

At Casa Isola Verde you have got a cozy live-and-eat-in kitchen (incl. electric stove, microwave, fridge-freezer; washing machine) with TV and air conditioning with heating device.

There are two bedrooms (double bed each), one with air conditioning (with heating device) and one with ceiling fan, both with en suite bathroom (shower/WC/bidet).

WiFi is available in the outdoor area.

Dependance

The dependance (on request) of Casa Isola Verde, where two further persons can be accommodated, is an adjoining room with en suite bathroom.

...a Mediterranean garden

The apartment's two roofed terraces, one accessible from the live-and-eat-in kitchen, one accessible from a bedroom, are screened off and separated from each other by plants. Adjoining the terraces lies the plot of garden.

Outdoor furniture to make yourself comfortable on is found both on the terraces and in the garden, from where you enjoy a view of south-eastern Sicily’s gorgeous nature.

A pool for shared use

The pool (length 18 m), which is located above Casa Isola Verde, is shared by all the holiday accommodations on the property. It is in general open from mid-May to October, and might also be open on warm days in spring.

Parking:  Parking is available on the fenced premises.

Surroundings

The sea and restaurants are about 700 m from Casa Isola Verde. A shopping facility is ca. 1 km, the nearest sandy beach 1.6 km off.

We can recommend two restaurants: At Ostrica Park (700 m) and Il Circolo (1 km), both located by the sea, they serve delicious dishes of fresh-caught fish.

When vacationing at Casa Isola Verde, you are not far from wonderful, UNESCO World Heritage listed Syracuse (ca. 7 km) and its gorgeous Old Town located on the small island of Ortigia. 

Excursions

South of Syracuse, other fascinating Baroque towns wait to be discovered, for example Noto and Modica.

The breathtaking flora and fauna of Italy's largest island waits to be admired in the nature reserves south of Syracuse. The nature reserve of Oasi di Vendicari is definitely also worth a visit.

It takes you about 1.5 h by car to get to Sicily’s most fascinating attraction – mighty Mount Etna. It might be one of the highlights of your holidays to take part in a tour to the summit craters. The tours depart from fixed stations on the mountain and are led by expert and experienced guides. Important: Wear adequate clothing and shoes and take along food and drink.
