Holiday home with gorgeous garden at Donnalucata

Donnalucata is a cheerful fishing village and the coastal district of the UNESCO World Heritage listed, small town of Scicli.

A lovely seaside promenade with ice cream parlors and sales booths borders the village and ends at a small harbor, where colorful fishing boats rock merrily to and fro in the sun. A wide beach of golden sand lies between the lively fishing village and the sparkling turquoise blue of the Mediterranean Sea.

Not far from this idyllic setting, on the outskirts of Donnalucata, in the midst of a wonderfully laid out garden with impressive palm trees and a lot of other Mediterranean plants lies lovely holiday home Villa Maria.

Holiday villa in southern Sicily

At the spacious holiday home, up to five persons can spend wonderful holidays on the island of Sicily.

A large, bright living room welcomes you. It is furnished with, amongst others, a sofa, TV and dining furniture and adorned with a fireplace, which can be used if need be. From the living room you enter the eat-in kitchen (incl. 4-burner gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer). Both rooms open onto the outdoor area.

Villa Maria has got two spacious bedrooms, one with double bed, one with double bed and single bed. The bathroom (bathtub/shower/WC/bidet) is located between the two bedrooms. There is also a guest bath (WC/bidet).

Furnishing of the holiday home includes washing machine, SAT-TV, CD player with radio, free WiFi and air conditioning. A children's bed is provided by the owner upon request.

Mediterranean garden

Villa Maria is surrounded by a wonderful Mediterranean garden. In front of the house, bottle brushes, oleander and geraniums bloom for all they are worth and various kinds of palm trees offer shade; at the back of the house, there is a vegetable patch where, depending on the season, you may harvest fresh vegetables.

The spacious veranda at the front of the house offers access of the kitchen and the living room. There is a terrace at the back of the house, too.

The roof terrace is the perfect place for sun worshippers; besides, you have got a great view of the sea from up there.

At your disposal in the outdoor area: deck chairs, sunshade, outdoor shower.

Parking: You can park your car on the fenced premises.

Surroundings of Villa Maria

Villa Maria is 1 km from the beach of Donnalucata and from the center with bars, restaurants and grocery stores. If you love fish, stop by the fish market, which takes place regularly on the edge of the village and where all kinds of fish are offered for sale.

The beach of Donnalucata is very popular and much frequented during high season. There are, however, outside and adjoining the village, some natural and less frequented beaches, for example Palo Bianco, Palo Rosso and Spinasanta.

The district of Donnalucata is about 8 km from the main town of Scicli. Magnificent Baroque buildings adorn the inviting small town's historic center. 

Tip for an excursion - Ragusa Ibla

Visit Ragusa and above all Ragusa Ibla, the oldest and smallest district, which is absolutely fascinating and worth a closer look.

An abundance of Baroque churches and palaces as well as a friendly kind of outdated romance make Ibla such a lovable, small treasure chest.

Stroll through the small, winding alleys, enjoy your cappuccino in the piazza in front of impressive Cattedrale San Giorgio, stop at the small shops, where you might find something to take along for your loved ones at home.
