Holiday atmosphere at its best awaits you at Casa Parisi, a lovely, well-tended holiday home only 50 m from the wide sandy beach of the fishing village of Sampieri in the southeast of Sicily.
Sampieri's long stretch of fantastic sandy beach, which, by the way and as fans may know, featured as a setting in the Commissario Montalbano TV series, and the crystal clear waters of the sea are a delight for beach and sea enthusiasts.
If you wish to spend holidays by the sea and take part in original Sicilian village life, Casa Parisi might be just what you are looking for. You will find it conveniently located also for excursions to the UNESCO World Heritage listed towns of Scicli, Ragusa, Modica and Noto.
Casa Parisi, a former fisherman's house dating from the end of the 19th century, is found in central location, in a one-way street. A supermarket and other shops are just around the corner.
A lovely stone façade, blue and green shutters, and, inside, typical high ceilings of reed and characteristic stone walls make for the unique charm of the holiday home, which has got a wonderful roof terrace.
You enter Casa Parisi into the tastefully furnished and lovingly decorated living area. The large sofa can be turned into a sleeping facility for a third person.
The dining/kitchen area is located on a slightly raised level and separated from the living area by a small railing. Please note: The oven under the stove (as shown in the pictures) does not work, but there is a small electric oven at your disposal.
There's a nice bathroom (shower/WC/bidet) and a cozy bedroom with double bed.
From the bedroom, stairs run up to the partly roofed, ca. 20 m2 roof terrace with sea view, where cacti add Mediterranean flair and the outdoor shower might be welcome on hot days.
Furnishing of Casa Parisi also includes TV, air conditioning with heating device in the living area (extra charge for use) and washing machine (below the staircase).
The fishing village of Sampieri counts among the coastal villages most characteristic for the south-east coast of Sicily. Houses of stone nestling against each other in the numerous small alleys make for its original and authentic character.
While strolling along Sampieri's beautifully laid out promenade, you can spot the burnt-down old brickworks - a much-photographed site in the area.
When spending your holidays in the southeast of Sicily, you should not miss out on visiting the "Baroque pearls of Noto valley". The fascinating towns of Scicli (10 km from Sampieri), Modica (25 km off), Ragusa (38 km off) and Noto (41 km off) with their impressive, Baroque centers, which were rebuilt in this style after the devastating 1693 earthquake, are quite a tourist draw.
The exact address and the information about the details of your journey are included in the booking confirmation.
